About
I am an XR engineer with 10 years of experience in Unity, spanning VR/AR development, web technologies, test automation, and engineering leadership. In addition to hands-on design and implementation, I have been responsible for technical decision-making at the team and organizational level.
At STYLY, I served as the lead engineer for the STYLY Studio team. STYLY Studio received the Best Creator & Authoring Tool award at AWE 2024. I have also worked on on-site XR implementations at over 50 locations across Japan (LBE), and built external technical connections through technical knowledge sharing on Qiita and X.

STYLY Studio (No-Code XR Editor)
Led the development of a no-code XR editor to deliver a stable creation experience for over 40,000 creators. As the development lead for STYLY Studio, a browser-based B2C product for building XR spaces, I worked across Unity and web technologies to drive architecture design, development processes, and team growth. Also led development of the City Template, an urban AR authoring tool built in collaboration with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism PLATEAU project, covering editor design for city-scale 3D data, VPS integration, and demonstration and public deployment support.
AIR RACE X (Global AR Technical Direction)
Provided technical direction for AR systems in the global AIR RACE X competition. Contributed to AR design, validation, and implementation for outdoor urban environments, including VPS and device-specific optimizations.
Management & Education
Summarizing a wide range of leadership experiences and initiatives, from organizational management and talent development to lectures and external presentations.
Building Internal Frameworks
To standardize know-how across multiple XR content creation projects, I organized information-sharing sessions for Unity team members. Based on shared insights, common functionalities were modularized and established as an internal framework, achieving both operational efficiency and quality.
Mentoring & Education
Responsible for mentoring new employees, mid-career hires, and external contractors. Conducted hands-on workshops on AR basics, GitHub, Unity capacity reduction, design patterns, and other skills needed in the field. Handled everything from creating educational materials to facilitating sessions.
Outreach & External Lectures
Shared expertise cultivated through internal training on Qiita and X, receiving high acclaim. Have multiple guest lecture experiences at vocational schools, building technical connections outside the company. Many job opportunities have arisen through these outreach efforts.
Articles
Introducing technical articles published on Qiita. Over 200 technical articles published on Qiita. These four articles are selected from over 200 technical posts, highlighting reproducible insights, real-world impact, and design-level thinking.
Technical Decision-Making That Bridges Engineers and Creators
Based on five years of hands-on experience with visual scripting in XR platforms where C# cannot be written directly. The article reframes technology choices through cognitive traits and project scale rather than personal preference, and ranked #1 on Qiita Trend in November 2025.
Design Thinking Across Unity and Unreal Engine
An engineer with 10 years of professional Unity experience explored Unreal Engine hands-on and organized the differences in terminology, structure, and design philosophy. The article examines engine-level differences through concepts such as encapsulation, polymorphism, and dependency inversion, and reached #1 on Qiita Trend in April 2025.
Practical Knowledge for Making New Technologies Stick
An attempt to introduce Swagger (OpenAPI) into a Word-centric workplace initially failed, but succeeded through revisiting tool choices, API design principles, and documentation culture. The article summarizes the process of failure, redesign, and long-term adoption, and reached #1 on Qiita Trend in October 2019.
Internal Design for Products with Complex State
Designed an Undo/Redo system for STYLY Studio, a feature known for its high implementation complexity, with a focus on both memory efficiency and performance. Starting from the Memento pattern, the article explains practical design decisions such as state-based diff management and grouping multiple changes into a single operation for real-world product use.
